Sheila Ruhi is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and has been working in the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) field since 2012. While completing her undergraduate degree at Florida International University (FIU) she had the opportunity to intern for their summer treatment program. This gave Sheila the opportunity to develop skills in with the early intervention population (children ages 2-4 years old) with a range of diagnoses from Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Conduct Disorder, Oppositional-Defiant Disorder, learning disabilities, and related behavioral disorders. Sheila has a Bachelor Degree in Psychology with a specification in ABA from FIU, and a Master in Science from Nova Southeastern University in Developmental Disabilities with a certificate in Advanced Applied Behavior Analysis. Sheila has been Board Certified since 2014. She is passionate about the science of human behavior and how it can be applied to every aspect of life. Since 2012 she has been applying ABA services at home, schools, and in the community. She has also collaborated together with private schools administration and public school teachers to create Individual Education Goals and behavioral systems for their classrooms. Sheila is the co-founder of Blossom Center for ABA Learning. Blossom was created due to a need in the community for high quality behavior analysis service. Sheila has worked for several agencies throughout Miami-Dade County and saw a need to develop a program that focuses on an intensive early intervention model for children ages 1-6 years old. The goal of Blossom is to provide high quality services to children with developmental disabilities, while focusing on the quality of therapy versus the quantity of therapy. A Miami native, Sheila wanted to provide her community with effective and ethical behavior analysis services.
